Dobbes Family Winery is today, much of what it was at our beginning, a small, family-run winery in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. We just define family a little differently these days. At Dobbes, our family extends to those who we welcome into our lives and share a part of ourselves with. From those who visit our tasting room in Dundee, to our team, to our longstanding growing partners, to those who share a bottle of Dobbes wine from afar, we welcome you into our extended family with open arms (and an open bottle of wine). While most of our wines are made from two French grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Syrah, our unique terroir and thoughtful winemaking produce wines that are distinctively Oregon. These are wines that welcome you in and invite you to make yourself at home.

Windswept ridges and fertile valley floors, the terroir of Oregon is as varied as it is breathtaking. We partner with vineyards across the state and craft wines that showcase every inch of Oregon. Hand-picked and hand-sorted, our wines are made with purpose in mind– our single vineyard Pinot Noirs highlight the unique characteristics of a single site, while our cuvées evoke the defining characteristics of a region and vintage. There is no shortcut to the art of running a wine business and the craft of winemaking. Both require patience, curiosity, innovation, and the careful balance of new-world thinking and tradition. We respect our roots but are unafraid to take risks. We are proud to be rooted in tradition and unbound by convention.

Giving Back

Through strategic nonprofit partnerships, we extend our ethos of care and support beyond the vineyards. Our staff are asked to select a personally meaningful nonprofit committed to taking care of our community and impacting and bettering others. We work with these nonprofits year-round, donating a portion of the proceeds from a rotating list of wines each quarter. With every sip, you stand in support with Dobbes.

“About a year ago, a family member of mine was diagnosed with both liver and kidney failure, and was referred to medical specialists to seek viable options for life saving treatments. Since its inception, the OHSU Transplant Program has expanded to include kidneys, heart, liver, and pancreas. The team transplants more than 200 organs a year. Over the years, thousands of people with life-limiting disease have been saved thanks to organ transplantation at OHSU. And along the way, the transplant team has actively contributed to new transplant technologies, including: surgical techniques, organ retrieval and preservation, donor and recipient matching, recipient preparation, chronic immunosuppression regimens, and prevention and treatment of complications.

Our multi-disciplinary approach provides you with the best outcomes and highest level of care. You will have an entire team of transplant experts working on your behalf to guide you through the complexities of transplantation.

With a focus on our short and long-term goals and resource utilization, our sustainability efforts help maintain agricultural lands and contribute to our community’s well-being. We have joined forces with PGE to provide wind-powered electricity for our operations. This is a clean and renewable energy source that is abundant. Through this partnership and since our enrollment, we have avoided emitting over 1 million lbs. of CO2 into the atmosphere, a significant step toward our goal of reducing our environmental footprint.
