Through strategic nonprofit partnerships, we extend our ethos of care and support beyond the vineyards. These collaborations align seamlessly with our mission to not only produce outstanding wines but also to uplift and enrich the lives of those around us.

These efforts serve as a testament to who we are as a collective, reflecting our winemaking philosophy and our unwavering dedication to crafting wines that are uniquely Oregon. Each bottle represents our unwavering commitment to excellence and our deep-seated belief in the power of community. Together, we raise a glass to Oregon – to its beauty, its resilience, and its boundless spirit.

GIVING BACK

Through strategic nonprofit partnerships, we extend our ethos of care and support beyond the vineyards. Our staff are asked to select a personally meaningful nonprofit committed to taking care of our community and impacting and bettering others. We work with these nonprofits year-round, donating a portion of the proceeds from a rotating list of wines each quarter. With every sip, you stand in support with Dobbes.

Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends Animal Society is on the ground helping shelters around the country simplify adoption policies and requirements, build out community pet fostering programs, reach areas where low-cost spay/neuter services are most needed, advocate for more pet-inclusive housing, and more. After all, we’re talking about our most loyal companions, and we will not let them down.

Portland Literacy Council

“Literacy empowers, liberates, and increases self-esteem; opening a world of information that would be limited without the ability to read and write. I support any effort that unlocks opportunities for the underserved in our community.” – Kari DeVol, Wine Club Manager

The Portland Literacy Council is dedicated to promoting adult literacy in Oregon, which fosters a thriving and equitable community. The focus of the Portland Literacy Council is to support volunteer tutors who serve in free or low-cost programs for adult learners.

A Family Place

“A Family Place is dedicated to making a positive impact on families and communities by working to strengthen high-risk families to prevent child abuse. I grew up with a family that needed this kind of positive support but had no such services available– I am glad to support an organization that cares for those who are at risk in our community.” – Kari Mahe, General Manager

A Family Place partners with courageous parents and caregivers to help build on their own strengths to overcome life’s challenges. These victories and skills will enable them to create a brighter future for their children and contribute to their communities, enriched by their triumph over adversity.

REACH Northwest

REACH Northwest strives for everyone impacted by child welfare to feel supported and heard and to know that there is hope for the future for those in their care and themselves. With a goal for the cycle of abuse, abandonment, and neglect to be broken, REACH wants to help change the trajectory of lives toward a brighter tomorrow.

SUSTAINABILITY

Dobbes is one of many Oregon wineries focusing on sustainable farming and winemaking practices. A greener future starts with small steps, every day. With a focus on our short and long-term goals and resource utilization, our sustainability efforts help maintain agricultural lands and contribute to our community’s well-being. And, bonus, these efforts happen to improve the quality of our wine. A sustainability win/win.

LIVE Certified

The Low Input Viticulture and Enology (LIVE) program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports environmentally and socially responsible wineries through third-party certification and educational programming. With sustainable landscaping designed to encourage the growth of native plants as well as healthy soil, air, and water, we are committed to maintaining our standing as a LIVE Certified winery. Salmon Safe

Through its peer-reviewed certification and accreditation program, Salmon Safe is leading the movement to implement farming practices and developments that protect water quality, maintain watershed health, and restore habitat.

PGE Wind Program

We have joined forces with PGE to provide wind-powered electricity for our operations. This is a clean and renewable energy source that is abundant. Through this partnership and since our enrollment, we have avoided emitting over 1 million lbs. of CO2 into the atmosphere, a significant step toward our goal of reducing our environmental footprint.
